REFUGEE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

RES is a comprehensive case management and employment services focusing on identifying and removing employment barriers, linking and helping participants to obtain available community resources and empowering participants to actively seek and obtain employment within the allowable time. The goal is to assist refugees obtain employment as soon as possible in order to achieve financial self-reliance prior to their time limited CalWORKs assitance ends. The Services included:

  • Job Readiness; On-the-Job Training; Work Experience
  • Job Search/assisted job search
  • Job Development and Placement
  • Post-employment services; and
  • Life skills to deal with social, family, health and mental health and acculturation matters
