FAMILY SUPPORT & ADVOCACY SERVICES

The Refugee Family Services Project focuses on community problems impacting CalWorks and non-CalWorks recipients in Fresno County.  Service delivery focuses on families and the community as a whole.  The approach addresses the client’s support system and environment.  This system includes family members, friends, employment and interventions relieving barriers such as substance abuse, family disputes and other negative behaviors.  Subsequent to identifying barriers and/or challenges, LFCF staff, assists clients in developing options allowing individuals to gain and maintain employment leading to self-sufficiency.
